11 Working with the Cultivator

11.5 Holding and Guiding the Tiller

► Hold the tiller with both hands on handles (1) so the
thumbs enclose the handles.

11.6 Loosening Firm Soil or Working Soil Additives

into Loose Soil

► Place the front wheel in the operating position.
► Start the engine.
► Guide the tiller forwards and regulate the working speed
and working depth using the blade spur.
► Move forwards slowly and in a controlled manner.
► If the hoes become blocked:
► Engage gear 0/R.
► Guide the tiller backwards slowly until the hoes free
themselves.
► Set the gear.
