TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

PROBLEM
The display
doesn't work.
The display
shows the
letter "P"
The Defec-
tive Probe
Pilot Light is
on.
The display
shows sud-
den varia-
tions in room
temperature.
CAUSE
The circuit breaker on
the service panel is off
or tripped.
The wiring is incorrect.
The input fuse is open.
The voltage selector
switch is in the wrong
position.
The display board
interconnect cable is
unplugged from the
power supply board.
Probe # 1 is improperly
connected.
One or more probes
are defective.
A variation in resist-
ance is induced on a
probe.
There is electrical noise
near an extended probe
cable.
SOLUTION
Reset the circuit breaker.
Fix the wiring.
Replace the fuse.
Set the switch to the correct
position.
Plug the cable.
Fix the probe's connection.
Follow the procedure described
in DEFECTIVE PROBES to
identify and replace the defective
probe.
Make sure the probes are dry and
move them away from drafts and
sources of radiant heating.
Do not run probe cables next to
other power cables. When
crossing other power cables,
o
