PROBLEM
Engine stops during
operation.
Detergent will not
dispense with water.
Pressure washer will
not spray any water or
will spray water with
insufficient or unsteady
flow rate or pressure.

POTENTIAL CAUSE
6.
Spark plug boot is not
properly connected onto
spark plug terminal.
7.
Pressure pump is faulty.
8.
If above possible causes
are checked and eliminated,
pressure washer may be
faulty.
1.
A high pressure washing
spray nozzle is installed.
2.
Spray nozzle is obstructed.
3.
Out of detergent.
4.
Detergent is too viscous.
5.
Detergent tank, detergent
tank cap breather hole or
outlet hose barb clogged.
6.
Detergent tube not tightly
fitted onto one or both hose
barbs.
7.
Detergent tube clogged,
kinked or damaged.
8.
Detergent non-return check
valve ball clogged.
9.
If above possible causes
are checked and eliminated,
pressure washer may be
faulty.
1.
Spray gun trigger not
actuated, i.e. the spray gun is
closed.
2.
The black (60°) low-pressure
detergent spray nozzle is
installed.
3.
Water supply not turned on
sufficiently or at all.
4.
Water supply hose clogged,
kinked or damaged.
5.
Water supply hose
connection to the water pump
is leaking water or drawing
air.
6.
Nil or inadequate water
supply flow rate or pressure.
7.
Water supply hose is too
long or too small in diameter
causing excessive pressure
drop and flow resistance.
8.
Water supply inlet screen is
obstructed.
SOLUTION
6.
Push spark plug boot firmly onto spark plug.
7.
Repair or replace water pump.
8.
Take pressure washer to an authorised Westinghouse
service dealer.
1.
Replace with the black (60°) low-pressure detergent
spray nozzle.
2.
Clean the spray nozzle.
3.
Check detergent level and add detergent if necessary.
4.
Dilute detergent with water.
5.
Clean detergent tank, detergent tank cap breather
hole and outlet hose barb.
6.
Install tube securely onto both hose barbs.
7.
Clean, re-route or replace detergent tube.
8.
Free the check valve ball.
9.
Take pressure washer to an authorised Westinghouse
service dealer.
1.
Disengage the trigger safety lock and squeeze the
spray gun trigger fully.
2.
Replace with a high pressure washing spray nozzle.
3.
Turn on the water supply fully.
4.
Clean, re-route, repair or replace the water supply
hose.
5.
Check and tighten the water supply connection
fittings. Squeeze the spray gun trigger continuously
to purge any entrapped air until the spray water
discharge is steady.
6.
Increase the water supply flow rate or pressure.
7.
Shorten the length or increase the diameter of the
water supply hose.
8.
Clean the water supply inlet screen.
