CLEANING THE PRESSURE
WASHER
The pressure washer should be kept clean and dry
at all times to ensure its reliable and safe operation.
This should be checked each time before using the
pressure washer.
Use a damp cloth which has been soaked in a mixture
of household or pressure washer detergent and warm
water and then wrung out to remove excess liquid.
Wipe the exterior surfaces of the pressure washer
clean and then repeat with a damp cloth which has
been rinsed in clean water and wrung out. Finish by
wiping off all moisture with a dry cloth. Do not use
abrasive or solvent cleaners.
A soft, non-metallic bristle brush or a vacuum cleaner
can be used to loosen and remove any built-up dirt,
mud or other debris. Low pressure compressed air not
exceeding 200 kPa (29 psi) can also be used to blow
off any dirt or dust.
NOTICE
Never use sprayed-on water to clean the pressure
washer. Water may enter the fuel, air intake or
exhaust systems and damage the engine.

WATER SYSTEM

Water Inlet Screen

NOTICE
Do not operate the pressure washer without a
properly functioning water inlet screen installed.
Otherwise, the water pump may be damaged.
The water inlet screen is a small plastic component,
and its filter mesh is necessarily quite thin. Take
care during the maintenance procedure not to
damage it.
Tools required – Small flat blade screwdriver.
1. Stop the pressure washer and let it cool down if it
has been running.
2. Turn off the water supply and disconnect the
water supply hose from the inlet connection.
3. Point the spray gun in a safe direction and pull the
trigger to relieve any confined water pressure.
4. Carefully pry out the water inlet screen as shown
in Figure 41.
