This document shows multifunction printer such as a Canon
MF216N wired with a Verizon LTE Internet & Home Phone.
The Verizon device acts as Internet, Fax device and Telephone.
It is important the features be understood and that the wiring is
exactly as described.
Please note, if the printer is a different manufacturer the settings will differ.
The most basic setup is shown in Figure1.

First, determine which receive mode best suits your intended use, and then follow the on-screen instructions to configure the settings.

Intended use Receive mode Use fax only/Never use telephone <Auto> This setting is for when you want to use the machine exclusively for receiving faxes, and you do not want to use the telephone.

If you enter the wrong characters, press . (Press to delete each character one by one; press and hold to delete all the input characters at once.)

When <Confirm Entered Fax Number> is set to <On>, a screen appears that prompts you to enter the destination again (Checking Destinations before Sending Documents). Enter the same destination again for confirmation.
