Practical hints

Please read carefully the enclosed instructions for use before assembly.
If your spreader does not spread evenly, make sure that the small arrow on the gearbox points forward. The paddle wheel must turn clockwise. Turning
round the gearbox will cause the paddle wheel to turn counterclockwise. Clean the paddle wheel after each use as some fertiliser may become stuck on
the paddle wheel blades and cause uneven spreading.
Your spreader is designed to be pushed at 4,5 km/hour, which is a brisk walking speed. A slower or faster pace will change the spread pattern. Wet
fertiliser will also change the spread pattern and flow rate. Clean and dry your spreader thoroughly after each use. Also clean the space between the
shutoff valve and the bottom of the hopper.
Spreaders are lubricated at the factory. Do not open the gearbox because dirt might enter.
Instructions for use
Before filling the hopper, become familiar with the operation of this spreader.
1.
Take a look at the enclosed RATE SETTING CHART in order to obtain the correct setting for the material to be used.
2.
Make sure the drop holes are closed, before filling the hopper.
3.
Move the stop bolt to the proper setting.
4.
While pushing the spreader forward, pull the control lever back to the stop bolt.
5.
To stop, push the lever forward to close the drop holes before you stop moving.
6.
When finished, remove any remaining material from the hopper.
7.
Use the screen to avoid large impurities to get stuck in the spreader.
8.
Thoroughly wash the spreader and allow it to dry before storing. No oiling is necessary.

The spreading width of DCM SPREADER PRO depends on the type of product. The spreading widths mentioned in the above chart are total spreading widths i.e.
the sum of the spreading width to the left and to the right.
Example: If you want to apply a DCM Fertiliser in MINIGRAN
the fertiliser lengthwise (1 x) on the ground. You have now spread ± 5 kg/100 m². Then, spread the same fertiliser quantity again, but widthwise (2x). In total you
have now spread ± 10 kg/100 m² (see also walking pattern).
The settings mentioned on the rate setting chart are intended as a guideline only. Differences in the physical characteristics of the material applied, in the walking
speed or in the hardness of the ground surface, may require slightly different settings of the broadcaster spreader. In consideration of the above conditions,
De Ceuster Meststoffen N.V. can not guarantee that a spreader adjusted according to the settings listed will spread evenly.
