Problem
The mower fails to start.
The mower cuts unevenly.
Mower stops while
mowing.
Mower does not mulch
properly.
Excessive vibration.
The handle locking clamps
can not be closed in position.
Loss of drive or slowing of
drive speed.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Possible cause
The safety key is not inserted in the slot.
The battery pack is depleted.
The battery pack is not attached to the mower.
The battery pack is on the wrong side.
Battery or mower circuitry is too hot.
The upper handle is not extended to their
maximum length.
The handle is not set at one of the operating
positions.
Mower deck is clogged with grass and debris.
Dull blade.
The cutting height is not set properly.
The blade is assembled incorrectly.
The battery pack is depleted.
Mower is in overload condition.
Mower deck is clogged with grass and debris.
Battery or mower circuitry is too hot.
The upper handle is retracted a little by the
pushing force applying on the handle.
Wet grass clippings are sticking to the under-
side of the deck.
Mulching plug is missing.
The mower is set to cut too much grass.
Cutting blade is loose.
Cutting blade is unbalanced.
Bent cutting blade.
Bent motor shaft.
The upper handle is not fully extended.
High grass, rear of mower housing and blade
dragging in heavy grass, or cutting height too
low.
Insert the safety key.
Charge the battery pack.
Attach the battery pack to the mower.
Move the battery pack to the correct side of the
battery compartment.
Allow the battery pack or mower to cool down.
Fully extend the handle and lock the clamps.
Adjust the handle to the one of the operating
positions.
Clean the mower deck and make certain that the
blade has freedom of movement.
Sharpen or replace blade.
Raise the blade to a higher setting.
Reassemble the blade, following the section
"Replacing the Cutting Blade" in this manual.
Charge the battery pack.
Raise cutting height or slow down the mowing.
Unclog mower deck. Raise cutting height, or cut a
narrow swath.
Allow the battery pack or mower to cool down.
Unlock the clamps. Fully extend the upper handle
and lock the clamps again.
Wait until the grass dries before mowing.
Install the mulching plug.
Raise the blade to a higher setting.
Tighten the blade bolt.
Balance the blade following the instructions.
Replace the blade.
Contact the service center at 1-800-618-7474.
Fully extend the upper handle, then lock the
clamps.
Raise cutting height.
