Adjusting Projector Image Aligning Projected Image To A Projection Screen To ensure that the projected image shows within the surface of a projection screen, use the following method: Move the projector close to the screen, and form a rectangular image that is smaller than the screen itself.

Turn the projector clockwise when the projected image appears as shown below: If necessary, repeat Steps 2 to 7 to achieve a rectangular projected image. In certain situations, it might be necessary to adjust the projector to be nearer or further away from the wall.
Adjusting Image Height Raising the Projector Image Height Extend the rear tilt adjustment wheel to raise the image. Use the keystone settings to make the image shape to be a rectangle. Refer to section on Page 27 Adjusting Image Corners for more information about fine adjustment of the keystone settings.
Projector Image Focus Adjustment The Dell S718QL supports power focus. When the projection screen is blurred, you can use the Power Focus option to adjust the screen until it is clear. Steps: Advanced Settings > Projector Settings > Focus Adjust Adjust the focus until the image is clear.
Quick Focus Adjustment With the On-Screen Display (OSD) not shown, press and hold the right button on the projector control panel for 2 seconds. A quick focus adjustment screen will pop up. Adjust the focus of your projected image by pressing the up and down buttons on the projector control panel.
Adjusting Image Corners Use 4 corner adjustment features to get perfect, rectangular images. Advanced Settings > Keystone Settings > 4 Corner Keystone Press to start adjusting the first corner. Use to move the corner position. Once satisfied with the new position of the corner, press to return to the previous step.

Cleaning the Projector's Lens Clean the projector's lens periodically, or whenever you notice dust or smudges on the surface. Turn off the projector power and disconnect the power cord. Let the projector cool for at least 30 minutes. Use air blower bulb to blow off dust on the lens or gently wipe the lens by using a microfiber cleaning cloth.
