• Ethernet connector
Used to connect an Ethernet cable for a local area network (LAN).
Note: To operate the computer within Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Class B limits, use a
Category 5e or better Ethernet cable.
• HDMI-out connector
Used to send video and audio signals from your computer to another audio or video device, such as
a high-performance monitor.
• Optical drive eject/close button
Used to eject the tray of the optical drive out of the drive. After you insert a disc into the tray, press
the eject/close button to close the tray.
• Optical drive activity indicator
When the optical drive activity indicator is on, the optical drive is in use.
