By default, the DVR is set to record the full screen (No red grid)

8.4 Backup and Exporting Recordings

8.4.1 Backup

Before inserting a USB flash drive into the DVR, it must be formatted to FAT32.
Note:
See Section 6: Video Backup, to learn how to format the Flash Drive.
DO NOT connect the DVR's hard disk drive to your PC or Mac!
Note:
Left click to access the Backup screen. You can add multiple recordings for backup. The screen
below shows the Backup Task Queue with the current Status.
