Warning: To avoid risk of fire or electric shock, do not
expose the unit to rain or moisture. To prevent electric
shock hazard do not remove the cover by yourself.
Technical maintenance should be performed by ser-
vice centers' qualified specialists only.
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol,
within an equilateral triangle warns the user
of dangerous voltage inside the device
housing that may cause the electric shock.
The exclamation mark, within an equilat-
eral triangle informs the user about impor-
tant operating and maintenance recom-
mendations in the instruction manual.

IMPORTANT SAFETY MEASURES

Read this instruction manual carefully before using the
unit and keep it for the whole operation period. Mishan-
dling the unit can lead to its breakage and cause harm
to the user or damage to his/her property.
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or other injuries
it is necessary to observe the following safety measures
when using the unit:
• Make sure that unit operating voltage corresponds
to voltage of your mains.

• To avoid risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose
the unit to rain or moisture.
• Do not immerse the unit, the power cord and the
plug into water or any other liquids.
• To prevent fire or electric shock do not use this unit
in places with high humidity (near bath tubs, con-
tainers filled with water, kitchen sinks, washing ma-
chines, near a swimming pool, in wet basements,
etc.) Prevent the unit from dripping and splashing.
• Do not overload sockets or extension cords as this
can result in fire or electric shock.
• Place the unit in such a way that you can immedi-
ately pull out the plug from the socket in case of any
malfunction.
• For additional unit protection during lightning storm
and in cases when you are not going to use radio
clock for a long time, unplug it. It will prevent the unit
from being damaged by lightning and power surges.
• Install the unit in places with proper ventilation. Do
not block the ventilation openings of the unit.
• Place the unit on a flat stable surface, away from
equipment with strong magnetic field, for exam-
ple, from video and audio recording devices or big
speakers, as magnetic electric field lines from these
devices cause interferences while unit operation.
• Do not connect the FM-antenna with the external
antenna.
• Do not place clock radio near heat sources such as
radiators, heat registers, stoves, or places exposed
to direct sunlight, excessive dust, vibration or me-
chanical shocks. It is prohibited to place sources of
open fire, such as candles on the unit.
• Do not let foreign objects get into unit openings.
• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a
table, and make sure that the cord does not touch
sharp furniture edges and hot surfaces. When un-
plugging the unit from the mains, pull the power
plug but not the cord.
• Do not connect, disconnect or touch the power cord
or the plug with wet hands, this may cause elec-
tric shock.
• Do not use the unit if the power cord or the plug is
damaged, if the unit malfunctions, if it was dropped
or damaged in any other way.
• To prevent shock hazard do not remove the cover by
yourself. Do not repair the unit or make any changes
in it by yourself. If you find any damages, unplug the
unit and apply to an authorized service center.
• For children safety reasons do not leave polyethyl-
ene bags, used as a packaging, unattended.
• Attention! Do not allow children to play with poly-
ethylene bags or packaging film. Danger of suf-
focation!
• Close supervision is necessary when children or
disabled persons are near the operating unit.
• This unit is not intended for usage by children or
disabled persons unless they are given all the nec-
essary and understandable instructions by a person
who is responsible for their safety on safety mea-
