    Freedom® Lite Blood Glucose Monitoring System How the FreeStyle Freedom Lite System Should Be Used • The FreeStyle Freedom Lite system is intended for use outside the body (in other words, in vitro diagnostic use only). • The FreeStyle Freedom Lite system is used for measuring blood glucose (also known as blood sugar) from samples taken from the forearm, upper arm, hand, thigh, calf, or fingers.

    Meter Maintenance Battery Your FreeStyle Freedom® Lite meter comes with one preinstalled, #2032, 3 volt, lithium battery. The battery provides enough power for the meter to perform about 1000 tests. If your battery runs low, the battery symbol ( ) appears on every display screen until you change the battery.
