Downloading Images with the WIA Driver

You can only download JPEG images using the wizard, Microsoft Explorer or the WIA TWAIN
driver. To download and process RAW images, use the File Viewer Utility described in Chapter
3.

Downloading with the Scanner and Camera Wizard

Follow the Wizard's on-screen messages to download JPEG images to the computer.

Connect the camera to your computer. (➞W-10)

If you are using Windows XP, the [EOS 10D] dialog box appears. Select [Microsoft
Scanner and Camera Wizard], and then click the [OK] button. The [Scanner and
Camera Wizard] dialog box appears.

If you are using Windows Me, the [Scanner and Camera Wizard] dialog box appears.

Click the [Next] button.

The window for selecting the image to be copied appears in the [Scanner and
Camera Wizard] dialog box.

Select the image(s) you wish to download and click the [Next] button.

To select multiple images, press
and hold the <Ctrl> or <Shift> key
on the keyboard while clicking on
images. To select all the images,
click the [Select All] button.

The window for entering the image
name and specifying the
destination folder appears in the
[Scanner and Camera Wizard]
dialog box.

Specify a file name and save location and click the [Next] button.

The selected images will be downloaded to the specified destination folder and the
other option windows appear in the [Scanner and Camera Wizard] dialog box.

If you are using Windows Me, when you specify the file name and destination folder
and then click the [Finish] button, the images are downloaded and the [Scanner and
Camera Wizard] dialog box closes.

If you do not specify a folder, the images will be saved in the [Picture] folder in the
[My Pictures] folder inside [My Documents].

Select the [Nothing. I'm finished working with these pictures]
radio button and click the [Next] button.

The Scanners and Cameras completion window appears in the [Scanner and
Camera Wizard] dialog box.

Click the [Finish] button.

The [Scanner and Camera Wizard] dialog box closes.
