Accessories Installation

Note: Use only Motorola-approved accessories with the
MTP6000 Car Kit.
Note: To ensure proper installation, refer to the instruction
manual/leaflet of each accessories used in the
vehicle.

Installation Complete

Your MTP6000 Car Kit is now ready for the next configuration
and use. Install the 5 A and 1 A fuses (on the red and blue
wires) stated in the "Power Cable (30012040002) Installation"
on page 16.

Post Installation Checks

Perform the following post installation checks to verify
installation integrity. In case of malfunctions, verify the
installation and refer to the User Guide (MN001434A01).
Procedure
Verify the accessories setup as described in
the User Guide (MN001434A01) reflects the
actual installation. Insert the TETRA
MTP6000 Series Handportable Terminal into
the cradle.
Turn the ignition key to ON.
Verify the received signal strength (check by
comparing it to the signal strength of the
TETRA MTP6000 Series Handportable
Terminal outside the Car Kit).

Expected Result
N/A
The TETRA MTP6000 Series
Handportable Terminal is turned ON,
and display shows "Car Kit Connecting"
for a few seconds. The battery icon
shows charging status.
If charging indication does not appear,
verify that the power cable and fuses
are installed as specified in the "Power
Cable (30012040002) Installation" on
page 16. Verify their serviceability and
replace if required.
Signal strength icon shows the same
value as when the unit is outside the
cradle, or higher.
