Network printing from a Macintosh

Overview

This chapter explains how to print from a Macintosh on a Network using the Simple Network Configuration
capabilities on Mac OS X 10.4.11 - 10.6.x.

How to choose the print server (TCP/IP)

For Mac OS X 10.4.11

Turn on the machine by plugging in the power cord.

From the Go menu, choose Applications.

Open the Utilities folder.

Double-click the Printer Setup Utility Icon.

Click Add.

Choose Brother MFC-XXXX (XXXX is your model name), and then click Add.

Click the printer, then click Make Default to set the printer as the default printer. The printer is now ready.
