Setting Up Where to put your Companion Bose designed these speakers to sit on your desk, where their angled shape directs sound toward the listener. The powered speaker, which has a volume control on the front, is labeled RIGHT SPEAKER on the rear panel. The accessory speaker, labeled LEFT SPEAKER on the rear panel, has the speaker cable connected to it.
