    ASSEMBLY BEFORE THE ASSEMBLY READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW TO CORRECTLY UNPACK GRILL PARTS FROM SHIPPING BOX. STEP 1: 1. Open shipping box by slicing down its edges with a box cutter. Take out the four legs and bottom shelf. Next, remove the door bracket, grease cup, and grease cup clip. Take two doors and two side panels out of protective Styrofoam, as shown in Fig.
  • Page 10 ASSEMBLY BEFORE THE ASSEMBLY STEP 2: 1. With the aid of an assistant, turn grill head over on its side as shown in Fig. B below and remove the top Styrofoam piece. Lay the Styrofoam piece flat on the floor. With the aid of an assistant, lift the grill head out of the bottom Styrofoam piece.

    ASSEMBLY ASSEMBLY STEPS STEP 1: Bottom Shelf 1. Attach the tank holder to the bottom shelf with two (2) cotter pins as shown in Fig. 1a. 2. Attach the casters to the bottom shelf with sixteen (16) M6 x 13 screws as shown in Fig. 1b. 3.

Replace side burner through the side burner hole as shown in Fig. 11h, and place the side burner tube over the valve, making sure that valve is inside side burner tube as shown in Fig.

This step (step 12) is only necessary if you find later that you cannot light the side burner by using the side burner knob. Often, this is caused by poor alignment of the igniter tip with a hole in the side burner.

Take out the grease accumulate panel from the firebox, making sure the convex face is down and the drip cup hole is on left side of grease accumulate panel (when viewed from the rear) to ensure it will hold grease, and put it back as shown in Fig.

    POST-ASSEMBLY GAS CONNECTION This is a natural gas-configured grill. Do not attempt to use LP gas unless the grill has been reconfigured for LP gas use. The installation of this appliance must conform with local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with either the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54, or CAN/CSA B149.1, Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code, or CAN/CSA B149.2, Propane Storage and Handling Code.
  • Page 29 POST-ASSEMBLY GAS CONNECTION STEP 1: Insert the natural gas hose into grill cabinet from back of grill. Connect natural gas supply hose to flare fitting; tighten securely with wrench. STEP 2: Coat pipe nipple with gas-resistant Teflon tape or pipe dope. Tighten quick-disconnect coupler onto pipe nipple that leads to natural gas supply.
  • Page 30 POST-ASSEMBLY GAS CONNECTION STEP 3: After grill is completely assembled, make sure natural gas supply valve is “OFF” and then connect natural gas hose to socket. Push sleeve back on socket and insert plug until sleeve snaps forward, locking plug into socket. Be sure to leak-test these connections prior to use.

    POST-ASSEMBLY LEAK TESTING GENERAL • Although all gas connections on the grill are leak-tested at the factory prior to shipment, a complete gas tightness check must be performed at the installation site due to possible mishandling in shipment or excessive pressure unknowingly being applied to the unit. Periodically check the whole system for leaks or immediately check if the smell of gas is detected.

    POST-ASSEMBLY FINAL INSTALLATION CHECKLIST • Ensure that the grill is properly assembled. • Inspect the natural gas supply hose for burns, chaffing, kinks, and proper routing before each use. If it is evident there is excessive abrasion or wear, or the hose is cut, it must be replaced prior to the grill being used.

    POST-ASSEMBLY GRILL LIGHTING INSTRUCTION VERY IMPORTANT: ALWAYS INSPECT THE HOSE PRIOR TO EACH USE. BEFORE LIGHTING: • Inspect the gas supply hose before turning the gas ON. If there is evidence of cuts, wear, or abrasion, it must be replaced before use. The replacement hose assembly must be that specified by the manufacturer.

Check all gas supply fittings for leaks before each use. It is handy to keep a spray bottle of soapy water near the shut-off valve of the gas supply line.
  • Page 39 POST-ASSEMBLY CARE AND MAINTENANCE CLEANING COOKING AREA CLEANING The easiest way to clean the grill is to clean it immediately after turning off the flame when cooking is completed. Wear a barbeque mitt to protect your hand from the heat and steam. Dip a brass bristle barbeque brush in tap water and scrub the hot grill.

    APRÈS L’ASSEMBLAGE RACCORD DU GAZ Ce barbecue est configuré pour être utilisé avec le gaz naturel. Ne pas tenter d’utiliser du gaz liquide sauf si le barbecue a été reconfiguré pour l’utilisation du gaz liquide.
