right angle as shown below.

— Wind Barrier
Install the unit a minimum of six inches (152 mm)
above the roof surface to avoid ice build-up around
the unit. Locate the unit above a load-bearing wall
or area of the roof that can adequately support the
unit. Consult local codes for rooftop applications.
If coil must be installed facing prevailing winter
winds, a wind barrier should be constructed. Size
barrier at least the same height and width as out­
door unit. Install barrier 24 inches (610 mm) from
the sides of the unit in the direction of prevailing
winds.

Install one bracket per side (minimum). For extra stability, install

Unit Stabilizer Bracket Use
Always use stabilizers when unit is
raised above the factory height.
(Elevated units could become unsta­
ble in gusty wind conditions.)
Stabilizers may be used on any unit
installed on unstable and uneven
surfaces.
