Configuring the Router

You can select two methods to configure your new router. The first
method is by using D-Link Click'n Connect Utility, which is included on
the CD designed to run on Windows XP/2000. Just follow the instructions
step by step to configure your router for Internet access for the first time.
The second method is to use your Web browser to access the built in
web server pages used to setup the Router, your computer's network
adapter must be configured to "Obtain an IP address automatically", that
is, you must set the IP network settings of your computer so it is DHCP
Client. If you are using Windows XP and do not know how to change your
network settings, skip ahead to Appendix and follow the instructions
provided. You may also read the User Manual for instructions on
changing IP settings for computers running other Windows operating
systems.
Open your Web browser and
type http://192.168.1.1 into
the URL address box. Press
Enter or Return.
The Home/Login page
appears.
When you first log in, your
Login Name is admin;
your password is also
admin. These may be
changed later.
Click Login
