1.7.3.2 Parallel Interface Port: JPRNT1
Unlike the serial ports, parallel interface port has been standardized, and it should
not present any difficulty interfacing peripherals of your system. Sometimes it is
called centronics port and the parallel port is almost exclusively used with printers.
The parallel port on your system has a 25-pin, DB25 connector (see picture below).
The pinout for the parallel port are shown in the table below.
