Enabling the FTP server

The FTP server allows Windows®, Mac, and Linux users to access your shared folders
through the LAN or the Internet via the FTP protocol.
To enable the FTP server:
1. From the navigation pane, click Server > FTP Server.
. Configure the following settings:
FTP Server: Select Enable.
Max Connection: Set the maximum number of concurrent FTP connections.
NOTE:
When a user is uploading and downloading files from the FTP server simultaneously, it is
identified as two connections.
Idle Time: Set the amount of idle time allowed for a user before he is logged out
automatically.
Control Port: Set the port that the FTP server uses.
IMPORTANT:
This field is for advanced users who have experience configuring the FTP port. We
recommend that you keep the default port number 1.
