NSTALLATION
NSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the cover plate from the appropriate option slot in the ATLAS
550 Base Unit.
2. Slide the Nx T1 HSSI/V-35 Module into the option slot until the module
is firmly positioned against the front of the chassis.
3. Secure the thumbscrews at both edges of the module. Tighten with a
screwdriver.
4. Connect the cables to the associated device(s).
5. Complete installation of remaining modules and Base Unit as specified
in the Installation chapter of the ATLAS 550 System Manual.

Up to 11.04 Mbps
V.35 Rate:
Up to 5.52 Mbps
T1 Links:
HSSI Interface – 1 to 8 Total T1 Links (up to 4 from module T1
interfaces and up to 4 from other T1 modules)
V.35 Interface – 1 to 4 Total T1 Links (in any combination of
module T1 interfaces and other T1 modules)
T1 Line Rate:
1.544 Mbps ± 75 bps
T1 Line Framing:
D4 or ESF per ANSI t1.403 and AT&T TR 54016
