Communication with an In-House Expert
(SIPIX MO/SD ZN)
With the SIPIX MO/SD ZN tablet, you can establish a remote connection and
communicate with an expert (e.g., during a service call). There are the following
two possibilities:
Communication without internet connection within the company network
(Intranet)
Communication via the Customer Web Portal (Internet)
6.2.1
Communication without Internet Connection within the company
network (Intranet)
Communication without an internet connection is done in a local company network,
for example, via a wireless access point (Wi-Fi router, smartphone, or LTE router)
similar to a network printer.
After the pre-installed decentralized web server application (SIPIX RC) has been
started on the SIPIX Tablet, it can be accessed from any other client PC in the
same network. All you have to do is to enter the IPv4 address of the SIPIX Tablet in
the browser of the client PC, which establishes a point-to-point connection between
the expert or operator PC and the SIPIX tablet.
Subsequently, the expert or the operator from the maintenance room can directly
see a view of the technician on site via camera transmission with the SIPIX Tablet
and provide support if required. If necessary, the onsite technician can also pass
the camera transmission on directly to other devices with an Android operating
system during the ongoing connection (e.g., data glasses or a smartphone), in
order to either be able to work with both hands or to better reach service items that
are difficult to access.
