OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 3,4,5,6,7,8 POWER (PWR) BUTTON Press this button to turn the unit on and off. When the ignition switch is on, the radio will turn on automatically when the CDC, BAND or AUX button is pressed. VOLUME CONTROL To increase the volume level, rotate the VOLUME control in the clock- wise direction.

TREBLE CONTROL To adjust the treble level, first select the Treble mode by pressing the SEL/LOUD button until the TRE indication appears on the display panel. Within 5 seconds of choosing the Treble mode, rotate the VOLUME control to adjust the treble response as desired. The treble level will be shown on the display panel from a minimum of T -6 to a maximum of T +6 (T 0 represents flat response).

LOC will appear on the display as tuning occurs. If you have already set the pre-set memories of that band to your favorite stations, activating the Auto-Store Tuning feature will erase those stations and enter the new stronger stations. This feature is most useful when traveling in a new area where you are not familiar with the local stations.

During disc play, press this button to temporarily stop play of the disc (PAUS will appear on the display panel). Press the button again to resume play from the point at which it was stopped. Pause mode will also be canceled by activating any other disc function. TRACK (TRK) SELECT ( The Track Select functions are used to quickly access the beginning of a particular track.

3. Select the second track to be programmed (this could be on another disc) using the Track Select button and then press the Memory Selector button. M -02 will appear on the display The selected track has been entered as the second one to be played in Programmed Play mode.
THEFT-DETERRENT LED A light-emitting diode (LED) with lens is mounted on the front of the chassis behind the panel mounting plate; the LED will flash at 1-sec- ond intervals when the panel folds down, and will flash at 2-second intervals when the panel is removed from the radio. The flashing light serves as both a visual reminder that the panel has been released, or as a warning to a would-be thief that the unit has been disabled by removal of the front panel.
