Troubleshooting

The front and rear panels have LED warning indicators, as described below.

Amplifier Fails to Exit Standby Mode Promptly

The input channel signal LED lights green when an input signal is detected.

Not lit
No output signal
Lit intermittently
Unit does not promptly
exit standby mode
when input signal is
present

No output signal

DC Fault is detected.
Unit does not exit
standby.
Problem Solution
No input detected,
verify the input
signal. If input signal
is present, raise
input level until
signal LED lights.
The output signal
level of the source
may be too low to
cross the signal
detection threshold
of the amplifier (see
amplifier specs for
details). Increase
the signal level of
the source until the
signal LED lights
consistently, or
defeat the standby
timer.
Ampilifer has been
placed in standby
mode and the
output has been
turned off. Check
remote port. DC
Fault may have
been detected (see
next bullet).
Disconnect power
then disconnect
the remote port.
Then, reconnect
power to the unit to
determine if the unit
immediately goes
into standby upon
power up. In such
a case, service the
unit.
