2-2. Notes on Replacing the Parts
n
When replacing the connector and the connected flexible
card wire, use the specified parts.
If unspecified parts are used, the characteristics change and
malfunction occurs. Be sure to use the specified parts for
replacement.
When replacing the connector of the following boards, be
sure to perform the following operation:
1. When replacing the connector (Ref No. CN2701) of
AU-276 or AU-286 board.
. Replace the connector (Ref No. CN2701) with part
number 1-778-648-52.
. Replace the flexible card wire with part number
1-757-587-21.
2. When replacing the connector (Ref No. CN2801) of
AU-276 or AU-286 board.
. Replace the connector (Ref No. CN2801) with part
number 1-778-648-52.
. Replace the flexible card wire with part number
1-757-587-21.
3. When replacing the connector (Ref No. CN102) of
RX-60 or RX-74 board.
. Replace the connector (Ref No. CN102) with part
number 1-778-648-52.
. Replace the flexible card wire with part number
1-757-587-21.
4. When replacing the connector (Ref No. CN402) of
RX-60 or RX-74 board.
. Replace the connector (Ref No. CN402) with part
number 1-778-648-52.

2-3. Unleaded Solder
Boards requiring use of unleaded solder are printed with a
lead free mark (LF) indicating the solder contains no lead.
(Caution: Some printed circuit boards may not come
printed with the lead free mark due to their particular size.)
: LEAD FREE MARK
m
. Be sure to use the unleaded solder for the printed circuit
board printed with the lead free mark.
. The unleaded solder melts at a temperature about 40 dC
higher than the ordinary solder, therefore, it is recom-
mended to use the soldering iron having a temperature
regulator.
. The ordinary soldering iron can be used but the iron tip
has to be applied to the solder joint for a slightly longer
time. The printed pattern (copper foil) may peel away if
the heated tip is applied for too long, so be careful.
