1-13. Circuit Description

This unit consists of the following boards.
MPU-137 board: x86 compatible CPU motherboard
DEC-158 board: DC-DC converter, MPEG Decoder
IF-978 board: PC card interface
LED-432 board: LED indicator
1-13-1. MPU-137 Board
MPU-137 board is x86 compatible CPU motherboard, and
is mainly consisted of the following devices.

Converts the progressive RGB signal into the interlace TV
signal.

1-13-2. DEC-158 Board
DEC-158 board is consisted mainly of the following
devices.
Power supply circuit
In the DC-DC converter circuit (IC201 to IC208, and
IC210), +13.5V DC supplied from the AC adaptor is
converted into +5 V, +3.3 V, +2.5 V, and _5 V, and
supplied inside.
The power for the activation control circuit +5 V-SB, +3.3
V-evr) that controls the on/off of the DC-DC converter
circuit is supplied from a different circuit.
Moreover, the DC-DC converter circuit contains the
overcurrent protection circuit.
Activation control circuit
Consists of the FPGA (IC502), and controls the internal
power supply and the activation of the MPU-137 board.
MPEG Decoder (IC301)
Converts the MPEG file input through the PCI BUS into
digital video and audio signals, and outputs them.
EEPROM (IC504)
The serial number of the unit is stored.
Video Decoder (IC601)
Converts the analog video signal input from the VIDEO IN
connector (CN601) into the digital video signal.
Audio Codec (IC203)
This is the analog audio input/output interface.
1-13-3. IF-978 Board
This is the interface board between the unit and PC card by
the PCI Buscard Bridge (IC101).
1-13-4. LED-432 Board
Each indicator (POWER, NEW CONTENTS, ACCESS,
ALARM) of the unit is mounted on.
