13. Check the clearance between the entire gaterotor
blade and the shelf, rotate the gaterotor to find the
tightest spot. It should be between 0.003-0.004"
(0.076-0.102 mm). Make adjustments, if neces-
sary. It is preferable to shim the gaterotor blade
looser rather than tighter against the shelf.
14. Once the clearance is set remove the spindle.
Install new O-ring, apply Loctite 242 thread locker
to the socket head cap screw clamping the thrust
bearings to the spindle. Torque all bolts, see
Appendix A.
15. Install side covers with new gaskets. Tighten bolts,
see Appendix A. The unit can now be evacuated
and leak checked.
Check for 0.003-0.004" (0.076- 0.102 mm) clearance between
gaterotor blade and partition.
