Administering, grading, and managing quizzes

Retrieving students' responses

When students finish a quiz, they again connect their AlphaSmart
devices to the AlphaHub or direct USB cable. From there, you can
retrieve their responses to your computer.
Once a class has finished taking the test, you can administer it to
other classes, revise it, or archive it for future use.

Viewing a response set

The Student Response window in QuizManager lists your students by
name and class for a given quiz, and shows each student's score and
whether the student's responses have all been graded.

Grading quizzes

QuizManager lets you grade tests quickly and accurately, and
true/false, multiple choice, and short answer questions can all be
graded automatically. The Grading window lists student names for a
particular quiz. You can view summary results for selected students,
as well as the full text of each question, the correct answer (if one was
entered when the quiz was created), question remarks, and student
responses. Using the Tab key on your computer to skip between data
fields allows you to rapidly grade student responses, and a
Comments field provides a space for your notes to the student
regarding each question.

Assigning points

If you want to change the number of points assigned to questions,
QuizManager allows you to do so. The Question Points window lets
you scroll through the text of all the questions on a selected quiz and
enter points for each question. The program automatically converts
that to a percentage of total points.
