Administering, grading, and managing quizzes

Editing questions

QuizDesigner uses familiar word processing editing functions to help
you edit questions as you compose (such as cut, copy, paste, undo,
and so on). You can also open a saved quiz for editing. (See the
caution note on page 26 about saving over existing quiz files.)
In addition, you can export the text of any quiz (both questions and
possible answers) into your desktop computer's word processing
application for more elaborate editing, such as spell-checking and
grammar-checking.
Reviewing questions on an AlphaSmart device
preview
As you compose a test, QuizDesigner allows you to see how your
questions will look to your students as they view them on their
AlphaSmart devices (see the example on page 46). This is useful for
getting a sense of how questions flow and how your questions and
possible answers will appear onscreen. Take note that your students
can change the font size of the quiz questions on the Neos. See
"Changing font size" on page 56 for more information.
Administering, grading, and
managing quizzes
QuizManager is the most sophisticated portion of the AlphaQuiz
software. QuizManager is where you control the release of quizzes
and retrieve and track student responses. QuizManager makes the
grading process speedy and automated. You can assign different
point values to questions if you like. You can also compile statistics
such as averages, means, most frequently missed questions, and
score distributions.
