Troubleshooting Index

If you experience problems while operating your Ampliton, please
use the following table to locate possible causes and solutions
before contacting Alesis Product Support for assistance.
Symptoms
No audio output s.
[TAP T EMPO] button is
not working
Mod Linked units are n ot
working p roperly
Distorted sound
Distortio n when you leave
TEM PO SYN C mode
Buz z or h um fro m
out puts
Cause
No input aud io(SIG NAL
LED doesn 't flash).
Bad cables.
Destination is turned
down.

to a linked unit
Power is no t conn ected

power cable or a power
adapter.
Bad cables
Solution
Test with a known good
inp ut.
Rep lace t he cab les.
Check the connections
and the level of th e mixer
or amp th at the Ampliton
is connected to .
Adjust th e knob to th e
pro per level.
Con nect t he inp ut cab les
to the Master o f the link
chain
Go take a walk
Select Tempo Sync mod e
on Tremolo or Autopan
Plug in a power supply to
every unit in a chain.
Turn down the so urce, or
the TRIM cont rol on th e
Amp liton's back panel.
Turn down the RATE
kno b (below about " 3
o'clock")

Make sure that t he
