    9.0 ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS 7.0 INSTALLATION For best performance, the band saw should be located on a solid and level concrete foundation. Allow room for servicing and for moving large stock around the band saw Electrical connections must be made by a qualifi ed when deciding upon a location for the machine.
  • Page 10 9.2 Converting to 460 Volt Voltage conversion must be done by a qualifi ed electrican. The Band Saw is prewired for 230 volt. To change to 460 volt operation, proceed as follows. Additional purchases will be required: see electrical box parts list for any part numbers to order.

Raise cutting head approximately six inches above work piece and turn feed rate knob to zero. 2. Turn power on and turn speed adjuster knob (Fig. 13-4) to match appropriate material.

    13.10 LIMIT SWITCHES FOR SAW HEAD The upper limit switch (A, Fig. 13-7) stops the saw head at the height set by the upper stop (B). This should be set to stop the head just above the workpiece, to optimize cycle time.
