CAUTION:
MAKE SURE POWER IS SWITCHED OFF AT SERVICE PANEL
BEFORE SERVICING THE UNIT.
Filters
Grease Filter - Included with your range hood are two aluminum grease filter that
should be washed once a month or when indicated by the clean filter light. The
filters are dishwasher safe and should be washed in a mild soap or detergent.
Refer to Step 3 in the begging of the instructions to remove filters. If the grease
filters become damaged, replace with Air King Model GF-04 (30" models) or GF-05
(36" models) Grease Filter.
Cleaning
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE GASOLINE, BENZINE, THINNER, HARSH
CLEANSERS, ETC., AS THEY MAY DAMAGE THE RANGE HOOD.
1.
Clean your range hood with a mild detergent, such as dishwashing liquid,
and dry with a soft cloth. NEVER USE ANY ABRASIVE PADS OR SCOURING
POWDERS. Completely dry before restoring power. NEVER IMMERSE
ELECTRICAL PARTS IN WATER.

The fan blade and Venturi Ring can be removed and washed on the top
shelf of a dishwasher (away from the heating element) or by using a mild
soap or detergent. DO NOT USE ABRASIVES OR HARSH ALKALIS.
a.
Venturi Ring - To remove, rotate the Venturi Ring and line up the
locking tabs to the slots on the bottom cover and lift out. To reinstall,
line up the locking tabs to the slots in the bottom cover and press
upward while rotating the ring approximately 30° (Figure 12).
Trouble
1. Hood does not operate when the switch is on.
2. Hood is operating, but air moves slower than normal.
3. Hood is making a rattling noise.
If during the first 90 days from date of purchase any defects in workmanship and/or material are found, simply return the hood to the original retailer/dealer
for an over the counter replacement. In addition the Vision by Air King range hood carries a 5 year parts warranty against defects in workmanship and/or
material and a lifetime motor warranty. If at any point during the time you (the original purchaser) own this hood, the motor fails, we will replace it.
This warranty does not cover any labor or shipping costs or the cost of replacement components as part of routine maintenance such as: range hood grease
filters, charcoal filters or combination charcoal/grease filters; replacement light bulbs in range hoods or bathroom fan/light/bulb heater combinations. As
well, any damage or failure caused by abuse, misuse, abnormal usage, faulty installation, or improper maintenance will not be covered by this warranty.
In order to make a claim on this warranty, you must be the original consumer of the product. You will be required to present to Air King the original bill of sale
showing: date of purchase, place of purchase and model purchased. Failure to meet these requirements will void your warranty.
Air King will not be held responsible for any bodily injury or damages to personal property or real estate whether caused directly or indirectly by the product.
Some states and provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages and some states do not allow limitations on how
long an implied warranty lasts, so these exclusions or limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other
rights which vary from state to state and province to province.

Troubleshooting Guide

Probable Cause
1a. A fuse may be blown or a circuit tripped.
1b. Wiring is not connected properly.
2. Obstruction in the exhaust ducting.
3a. Blade is loose.
3b. Duct connection is loose.

Blower Wheel - The blower wheel is press fit on the motor and secured
in place with a retaining ring. First remove the retaining ring by applying
pressure outward from the motor, releasing the ring from the tabs. Next
remove the blower wheel by gently pulling downward away from the
hood. To reinstall, line up the tabs on the blower wheel with the holes
of the motor and apply upwards pressure towards the hood. Insure the
blower wheel is properly seated in place. Reinstall the retaining ring
under the locking tabs of the interior of the blower wheel (Figure 13).

Suggested Remedy
1a. Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker.
1b. Turn off power to unit. Check that all wires are connected
2. Check for any obstructions in the ducting including filter.
3a. Turn off power to unit. Remove filter, check that blade is properly
installed and retaining ring is in place.
3b. Turn off power to unit. Check that duct connection is tight.
