Setting Passwords
Passwords are a security feature of your computer,
protecting your computer from unauthorized access.
There are two types of passwords you can set:
Setup
Power-on
Do not forget your password! If you forget your
password, you need to contact your dealer.
Setup Password
The Setup Password prevents unauthorized access to the
BIOS Utility. The BIOS Utility is a setup utility for your
hardware settings. For more information on this utility, see
page 35.
Setting a Password
1.
During POST (while the startup logo is being
displayed), press Ctrl-Alt-Esc to enter the BIOS
Utility.
2.
Select System Security and press Enter.
3.
Highlight the Setup Password parameter and press the
key. The password prompt appears:
