Installing the M.2 Xpander-Z

The M.2 Xpander-Z card provide two M.2 Key-M slots.
To install the M.2 Xpander-Z card:
1. Remove the screws from the mounting poles.
2. Lift the M.2 Shields and remove the protective films and the round rubbers from
the thermal pads.
3. Move the mounting poles position according to your M.2 SSDs length.
4. Insert your M.2 SSDs into the M.2 slots at a 30-degree angle.
5. Push the M.2 SSDs and the M.2 Shields down and secure them onto the mounting
poles.
6. Insert the M.2 Xpander-Z into the PCIe slot.
ƒ For 44-lane CPU - Insert it into the PCI_E3 or the PCI_E5 slot.
ƒ For 28-lane CPU - Insert it into the PCI_E2 or the PCI_E3 slot.
ƒ 16-lane CPU does not support M.2 Xpander-Z.
7. Use the screw to secure the M.2 Xpander-Z.

Important
The M.2 Xpander-Z card does not work with the 16-lane CPU.

After un-installing this card, please restore the M.2 Xpander-Z to Disabled in BIOS.
