ADJUSTMENTS
0° BEVEL ADJUSTMENT
See Figure 44.
NOTE: These adjustments were made at the factory and
normally do not require readjustment.
 Remove the battery pack from the tool.
 Loosen the bevel lock knob by turning the knob
counterclockwise.
 Square the blade to the miter table as described in the
Assembly section of this manual.
 If the blade is out of square, adjust by tightening or
loosening the 0° bevel stop screw using the 3 mm leg (short
leg) of a hex key.
 Retighten bevel lock knob. Recheck blade-to-table
alignment.
Your saw has several scale indicators. After squaring adjust-
ments have been made, it may be necessary to loosen the
indicators screws and reset them to zero. See Figures 13-14
REMOVING/REPLACING THE ADJUSTABLE
THROAT PLATES
See Figures 45 and 46.
When squaring the saw blade, it may be necessary to move
the throat plates away from the blade. Once the saw's align-
ment has been confirmed, return the throat plates to their
original position. Never operate the saw without the throat
plates installed.
 Remove the battery pack from the tool.
 Using the blade wrench provided, loosen the screws
securing the right side of the adjustable throat plate.
NOTE: The throat plate may be adjusted to (near) zero
clearance to support thin materials.
 Slide the throat plate away from the blade as far as pos-
sible.
 Retighten the screws, being careful not to overtighten
which can cause the throat plate to bow or bend.
 Repeat the above steps for the left side of the throat plate.
TO ADJUST THE MITER LOCK LEVER
See Figures 45 and 46.
In the locked position, the miter lock lever should feel tight
and secure, and considerable effort should be required to
move the miter table. If the miter lock lever feels loose or
the table moves easily when in the locked and unindexed
position, an adjustment to the miter lock lever is required.
To adjust:
 Remove the battery pack from the tool.
 Lift the miter lock lever.
 Remove the screws securing the throat plates, remove
both throat plates and set aside.
 Locate the lock nut and tensioning nut
 Using a combination wrench, loosen the lock nut and adjust
the tensioning nut until the proper amount of tension in the
lock lever is attained.
NOTE: It may be neccesary to lock and unlock the miter
lock lever to determine proper tension.
 Tighten lock nut against the tensioning nut.
 Once all adjustments have been made, reinstall both
throat plates, being careful not to overtighten which can
cause the throat plate to bow or bend, and push the miter
lock lever down to lock the miter table in place.
NOTE: Never operate the saw without a throat plate
installed.
