Troubleshooting
If
this unit
does
not
operate as expected,
the
problem may simply
be
an oversight, a disconnected cable or a setting error.
Before calling a service technician, compare
the
symptoms of
the
problem with the check
list below to
see if you can correct
the problem yourself.
Symptom
Item(s) to
check
No sound is
heard,
or
the
sound
is
small.
• Is
the
INPUT knob
turned to the
minimum setting? Set
the INPUT
knob to the
appropriate
level.
Are any cables
disconnected?
Are any
memory
parameters such as "LEVEL" set to a
low
value?
Is
the
volume of
the
connected amplifier or mixer set
to
a
low level?
The sound is not modified by
the
selected effect.
• Is the unit
in bypass mode?
Press
the BYPASS button.
Is the effect set to "OFF"?
The SIGNAL
lamp lights
red.
Is
the
input level
too high?
Adjust the INPUT knob.
The meter indicator goes off the end of the scale.
Is
the
output
level
of the connected source component
too high?
MIDI control cannot be carried out.
Does
the
MIDI receive channel match the transmit channel of the MIDI
device?
• Is the
control number set correctly?
• Is the
MIDI cable disconnected?
