Transferring fi les from a computer to your player
You can transfer fi les from a computer to your player. Follow the procedure below.
1 Connect your player to the computer.
"USB mode" appears on the display.

Tip
• Your player is automatically charged when you connect it to a computer with the
supplied USB cable.
2 Click [My Computer]-[removable disk:] on the computer.

Drag the fi les you want to transfer to your player and drop them to
the removable disk.
You can also transfer fi les to your player by dragging a folder.
Notes
• This player is unable to use SonicStage software.
• Do not disconnect the USB cable while fi le is being transferred. If you do, the fi le being transferred
may be damaged.
• If the USB cable is disconnected while fi le is being transferred, unnecessary fi le may be left in your
player. In this case, transfer usable fi les back to the computer and format your player (page 36).
• Some fi les may not be played back with the player due to copyright protection.
•
Although you can transfer up to 65,535 fi les, it may take time to start up the player or display the
fi le/folder list when using many fi les or folders.
• Folders of up to 16 levels can be displayed on this player.

Listening to audio fi les
Charge the built-in rechargeable battery before use (page 10) and transfer audio fi les to
your player (page 12).
Notes
• Before listening to audio fi les;
− Be sure to disconnect your player from the computer.
− Be sure to deactivate the HOLD function.
• Only MP3/WMA fi les can be played on this player.
Connect the headphones to the  (Headphone / AUDIO IN) jack
