This system cannot receive television broadcasts and is primarily designed for use with a VCR or a DVD player. Use the separately sold TV tuner unit KV-C1001/KV-C1008 for optional television broadcast reception.

Thank you for purchasing a JVC product. Please read all instructions carefully before operation, to ensure your
complete understanding and to obtain the best possible performance from the unit.
• For installation and connections, refer to the separate manual.
CAUTION:
This monitor should be used on DC 12 V only. To prevent electric shocks and fire hazards, DO NOT use
any other power source.
Installation requires some special knowledge.
Do not install the monitor yourself. Consult a dealer having special knowledge of this
kind for safe and reliable installation.
WARNINGS
• DO NOT INSTALL THE MONITOR IN A LOCATION WHICH OBSTRUCTS DRIVING,
VISIBILITY, SAFETY DEVICE FUNCTION SUCH AS AIR BAGS OR WHICH IS PROHIBITED
BY APPLICABLE LAWS AND REGULATIONS.
• There may be legal regulations defining the permissible installation locations for the
monitor which differ by country or by state. Be sure to install the monitor in a correct
location according to such laws.
• The driver must not operate the monitor while driving.
* Stop your vehicle in a safe location when operating the monitor.
• The driver must not watch the television or playback pictures while driving.
If the driver does it while driving, it may lead to carelessness and cause an accident.
• Be sure not to let the monitor be strongly impacted since this may cause a malfunction
or fire.
• Do not use the monitor with the engine off.
Doing so with the engine off will consume battery power and may prevent the engine
from starting.
• When not in use, close the liquid crystal panel and store it into the compartment.
• Do not touch the surface of the liquid crystal panel directly.
• If the parking brake is not engaged, "DRIVER MUST NOT WATCH THE MONITOR WHILE
DRIVING." appears on the monitor, and no playback picture will be shown.
– This warning appears only when the parking brake wire is connected to the parking
brake system built in the car (refer to the Installation/Connection Manual).
CAUTIONS on the monitor
• The monitor has been produced with high precision, but it may have some ineffective
dots. This is inevitable and is not malfunction.
• Do not expose the monitor to direct sunlight.
• When the temperature is very cold or very hot...
– Chemical changes occur inside, causing it to malfunction.
– Pictures may not appear clearly or may move slowly. Pictures may not be
synchronized with the sound or the picture quality may decline in such environments.
For safety....
• Do not raise the volume level too much, as this will block outside sounds, making driving dangerous.
• Stop the car before performing any complicated operations.
Temperature inside the car....
If you have parked the car for a long time in hot or cold weather, wait until the temperature in the car becomes
normal before operating the unit.

How to reset your monitor / Cara menyetel ulang monitor anda
When you watch the screen at an angle, the picture might not be clear. This is not a malfunction.
The finest picture can be seen when you watch the screen straight-on.
Apabila anda menonton layar dari sudut, gambar mungkin tidak jelas. Ini bukan malfungsi.
Gambar terbaik dapat terlihat bila anda menonton layar tegak-lurus.

• Adjusts the level of the selected item or selects
an appropriate setting for selected item.
• Changes the TV channels when the TV tuner
KV-C1001 or KV-C1008 is connected.

pressed and held (see also page 2).

PERINGATAN
• JANGAN MEMASANG MONITOR DI LOKASI YANG MENGHALANGI PENGEMUDI DALAM
MENGEMUDIKAN KENDARAANNYA, DAYA PANDANG, FUNGSI ALAT PENGAMAN
SEPERTI KANTUNG UDARA ATAU YANG TIDAK DIPERBOLEHKAN OLEH UNDANG-
UNDANG DAN PERATURAN YANG BERLAKU.
• Kemungkinan terdapat peraturan hukum yang menetapkan lokasi pemasangan yang
diijinkan untuk monitor, maka peraturan berbeda-beda tergantung pada negara atau
negara bagian. Monitor harus dipasang di lokasi yang tepat berdasarkan undang-
undang tersebut.
• Pengemudi tidak boleh mengoperasikan monitor selagi mengemudi.
* Hentikan kendaraan anda di lokasi yang aman sewaktu mengoperasikan monitor.
• Pengemudi tidak boleh menonton televisi atau gambar playback selagi mengemudi.
Jika pengemudi melakukannya selagi mengemudi, hal tersebut dapat mengakibatkan
tindakan ceroboh dan dapat menyebabkan terjadinya kecelakaan.
• Jangan biarkan monitor terjatuh atau terbentur keras, karena dapat mengakibatkan
malfungsi atau kebakaran.
• Jangan gunakan monitor dimana mesin dalam keadaan mati.
Menggunakan monitor dimana mesin dalam keadaan mati akan menghabiskan daya
baterai dan dapat membuat mesin tidak dapat dihidupkan.
• Bila sedang tidak digunakan, tutup panel kristal cair dan simpan ke dalam kotaknya.
• Jangan langsung menyentuh permukaan panel kristal cair.
• Jika rem parkir tidak diaktifkan, maka "DRIVER MUST NOT WATCH THE MONITOR
WHILE DRIVING." akan tertera di monitor dan tidak akan ada gambar playback yang
diperlihatkan.
– Peringatan ini hanya tampak apabila kabel rem parkir tersambung ke sistem rem
parkir yang terpasang di dalam mobil (lihat Manual Pemasangan / Penyambungan).
PERHATIAN atas monitor
• Monitor diproduksi dengan sangat cermat, namun mungkin terdapat beberapa titik tak
efektif. Hal ini tak dapat dihindari dan bukan merupakan malfungsi.
• Jangan memapar monitor pada cahaya matahari langsung.
• Bila suhu sangat dingin atau sangat panas...
– Perubahan kimiawi terjadi di bagian dalam, yang menyebabkan terjadinya malfungsi.
– Gambar mungkin muncul tak jelas atau bergerak perlahan. Gambar tak dapat
diselaraskan dengan suara atau kualitas gambar mungkin berkurang pada lingkungan
demikian.
Tentang keselamatan....
• Jangan perbesar volume terlalu berlebihan, karena akan menghalangi suara di luar, sehingga
mengemudi menjadi berbahaya.
• Hentikan mobil sebelum melakukan operasi rumit apapun.
Suhu di dalam mobil....
Jika anda telah memarkir mobil untuk waktu yang lama pada cuaca yang panas atau dingin, tunggu
hingga suhu di dalam mobil menjadi normal sebelum mengoperasikan unit.
