MMI Diagnostic tools
Hardware diagnostic tools
System hardware diagnostic tools consist of:
•
card self-tests
•
LED indicators, and
•
enable/disable switches.
Card self-tests
Mini-Carrier Remote cards automatically perform a self-test
•
when inserted into an operating system module,
•
when enabled, and
•
upon system power up or reset.
A self-test may also be performed using software commands.
The self-test checks general card functions and determines if the card is
operating correctly. It is useful when first installing the cards because it gives
an immediate indication of the card's operating status.
LED indicators
MCR cards are equipped with red LED indicators and module power supplies
are equipped with green LED indicators. These indicators show the status of
each card or power supply.
