2.01 Race O rganization/Information

Those i nterviewed b y t he p anel i ndicated t hat t hat t he s kipper's p ractice w as t o
navigate f rom w aypoint t o w aypoint. I n p revious r aces, t he s kipper w ould d etermine
the p osition o f t he n ext w aypoint a s t he c urrent o r a ctive w aypoint w as a pproached,
based o n c onsideration o f c onditions o n t he c ourse.
The p anel's i nterviews s howed t he s kipper d id n ot s leep m uch d uring t he r ace,
but w hen h e d id s leep, m ost o f h is r est o ccurred w hen A egean w as u nder p ower. I n
past r aces, t he s kipper's i nstructions w ere t o b e a wakened p rior t o t he n ext w aypoint.
