Procedure
NOTICE
Damage to the device
Do not adjust the screws in the connection terminal when it is plugged into the device. The pressure of the screwdriver on
the connection terminal and the socket can damage the device.
Connect the wires to the connection terminal when it is not plugged in.
Note
Make sure that the cores are connected to the correct terminals. Observe the labeling for the contacts on the cover of the
device.

Connecting the 24 V DC power supply
Please note the following:
WARNING
Electric shock and risk of fire
Voltages that exceed an extra-low voltage can cause electric shock or fire. Death or serious bodily injury can result.
• The device may only be connected to a 24 V DC power supply which meets the requirements of a safe extra-low voltage
(SELV/PELV) in accordance with the standard IEC/EN/DIN EN/UL 61010-2-201.
Note
Safety extra-low voltage (SELV)
• The device may only be connected to a 24 V DC power supply which meets the requirements of safe extra-low voltage
(SELV) according to IEC/EN/DIN EN/UL 61010-2-201. A protective conductor must also be used.
• The cable cross-section must withstand the short-circuit current of the 24 V DC current source so that a short-circuit will
not damage the cable.
• Only connect cables with a cross-section of ≥ 0.5 mm².
Requirements
• The device is installed.
• The protective conductor is connected.
• The connection terminal is wired.
• The corresponding 24 V DC power supply is switched off.
