1. Preparing for system configuration

You need to prepare the hardware, information, and software necessary to set up Epson Open Platform.

MFDs

Checking the device is compatible with Epson Open Platform

Check if the connected MFD is compatible with the Epson Open Platform.
Note:
When Epson Open Platform is already setup for the MFD, you can check from Web Config and MFD panel. See the
following confirmation method.

If the device is compatible, you will see the following label on the carton box and on the MFD near the serial number.

Authentication device and authentication card

You need an Internet connection to download the firmware and acquire a product key.
