U1
: Touch Sensitivity
The Clavinova can be set to one of three different types of keyboard touch sensitivity to match different playing
styles and preferences.
U2
: Accompaniment Volume Mode
Normally the Auto Accompaniment volume controls are used to adjust the volume of the Rhythm, Chord 1, Chord 2,
and Bass accompaniment parts, as labelled on the Clavinova panel. This function can be used to assign these volume
controls to other operations.
Use the [POP 1/POP 2] and [SWING/JAZZ BALLAD] style selectors while
POP 1
holding the [MIDI/TRANSPOSE] button. The [POP 1/POP 2] style selector in-
POP 2
crements the utility function number each time it is pressed, and the [SWING/
JAZZ BALLAD] button decrements the utility function number.
SWING
The Utility Mode functions are indicated on the TEMPO display by a tall "U"
JAZZ
BALLAD
in the leftmost digit position. The number of the function is displayed by the center
digit ("1" or "2"), and the current setting is shown by the right digit.
The [MIDI/TRANSPOSE] button must be held until after you've set the func-
tion, below.
NOTES
Use the TEMPO [ ] and [ ] buttons while still holding the [MIDI/TRANS-
TEMPO
POSE] button to select the required setting (the available settings for each utility
function are listed below).
Release the [MIDI/TRANSPOSE] button to exit from the Utility Mode when
you've finished making the required settings.
