Note: The 12 Ton Bottle Jack (#2) should last for several years of use. The only parts that
eventually wear out, are the seals. If you notice hydraulic fluid leaking from the telescoping
shaft (Ram) of the Jack, you need to install a Seal Kit. Seal Kits are available from Harbor
Freight Tools.
1. Clean the unit as needed. Make sure the ram face on the 12 Ton
Bottle Jack (#2) is clean and free of oil, grease, dirt, and debris.
Bleeding Instructions
2. Before each use or when the Jack lacks in performance, bleed the
12 Ton Bottle Jack (#2) of air.
A. Using the Jack Handle (#13), fully jack up the ram on the 12 Ton
Bottle Jack (#2).
B. Open the Release Valve on the 12 Ton Bottle Jack (#2). Apply-
ing pressure to the ram on top of the 12 Ton Bottle Jack (#2), push it
all the way into the Jack allowing the air to purge from the system.
Continue applying pressure on the ram while you close the Release
Valve.
C. Repeat if necessary.
