3.3.13 GSIM (Gigabit Switch Interface Module)
The GSIM is a managed Layer 3 LAN switch. It offers ten (10) 1000 BASE-SX/LX/TX
interface ports and one SIO port.
SPECIFICATIONS
• The GSIM can be installed in any universal slot in any OS7400 cabinet.
• Do NOT install the GSIM in an OS7200 expansion cabinet.
• A maximum of 2 GSIM's can be installed per cabinet. Maximum 6 GSIM's per
system can be installed.
• Refer to the GSIM Users Manual for further configuration and installation details.

optional external OfficeServ 7150 PoE PSU.

To force the GSIM to get power from the external OfficeServ 7150 PoE unit, you must
connect shunt pins 2 and 3 for each jumper J3 and J4. Shunt pins 1 and 2 are
connected at factory default (this setting causes the PLIM to get power from the internal
OS7400 power supply).
First LED: Link operation of P1~P6
- On: LED turns green when a link is in operation
- Blink: Each port blinks on active status
Second LED: 10/100 BASE-T operation of P1~P6
- Off: Operated in 10 BASE-T
- On: Operated in 100 BASE-TX
- On: LED turns green when a link is in operation
- Blink: Each port blinks on active status
Second LED: 10/100 BASE-T operation of P7~P12
- Off: Operated in 10 BASE-T
- On: Operated in 100 BASE-TX
LED turns on when P13~P14, which are Giga ports, is connected
LED blinks when P13~P14, which are Giga ports, is on active status
