Introduction
The LYNX-AVM is an audio verification module that allows
2-way communication between a Central Station Operator
and a person at the protected premises.
The LYNX-AVM is compatible with the following control
panel families: LYNX /LYNXR, VISTA-10P, VISTA-15P,
VISTA-20P, and VISTA-20PS.

Wiring the LYNX-AVM
The LYNX-AVM can be wired to either a LYNX/LYNXR Security Control Panel or a VISTA-10P, VISTA-
15P, VISTA-20P, or VISTA-20PS Control Panel. The following paragraphs provide the wiring
instructions for each.
Wiring to a LYNX/LYNXR Security Control Panel
Refer to the diagram on the next page when making wiring connections from a LYNX-AVM to a
LYNX/LYNXR Security Control Panel.

Stage
The Control Panel...

Remove the face plate of the LYNX-AVM by removing the retaining screw and separating the plate
from the back box.
Connect the flying leads of the RJ-12 cable (supplied) to the LYNX/LYNXR Security Control Panel
terminals as shown below.
Route the cable through the hole in the base of the LYNX-AVM.
