3. Wipe the glass parts shown in the illustration below with a
soft cloth moistened with alcohol.
CAUTION: Do not leave scanner unit open longer than necessary.
Never use synthetic detergent, benzine, or water for
cleaning. These create a stain. To clean oil or grease,
moisten a cloth with alcohol and wipe the glass lightly.
Do not pour liquid directly on the glass.
4. Press down the section marked
below. Then, push the scanner unit in until it clicks. (If the
unit is not closed properly, a cover open error occurs.)
5. Attach the scanner cover while sliding it down. To complete
the assembly, match the triangular symbols on the scanner
cover and on the side of the card section, as shown below.

Testing the Printer

Receipt section (printing on roll paper)

1. Be sure ink is OK, roll paper is loaded, the printer is off, and
the printer covers are closed properly.
2. Hold down the
FEED
3. The self-test prints the printer settings and then prints the

Validation section

2. Place your fingers in the pocket in the right side of the
printer, unlock the scanner cover, and pull it upward.
