Measurements
When the engine is started an excitation voltage/
current is needed to "wake up" the alternator.
Check altenator excitation voltage
Tools:
88890074 Multimeter
9998699 Break-out box
88890016 Break-out cable

NOTICE! Cut the current with the main switch.
Disconnect the excitation cable on D+ on the
alternator.
Connect 88890016 Break-out cable with
9998699 Break-out box between the MDI and the
engine connector.
Use 88890074 Multimeter for voltage measure-
ment.
Turn the main switch on.
