Chapter 4. Using the command-line interface

You can use either the secure web-based management interface or the command-line interface to set and
to manage most of the configuration options for the 10G Network Active Bypass unit. This chapter
explains the command-line parameters that are available for you to use in order to manage the 10G
Network Active Bypass unit from the command-line interface.

Accessing the command-line interface

You can access the command-line interface for the 10G Network Active Bypass unit through a serial
terminal emulator or through an SSH remote shell emulator.
Connection requirements
The following table shows the requirements for the serial terminal emulator and the SSH remote shell
emulator:

Use a serial terminal emulator and the following terminal settings:

The 10G Network Active Bypass unit SSH server uses the standard port 22.
User name and password
Use the administrator account with the default user name admin and the default password admin to
configure parameters and to monitor the status of the 10G Network Active Bypass unit.
Note: You can change this password through the command-line interface or through the management
interface.
